Description

The RGM-79S GM Spartan first appeared in the 1989 issue of *Monthly Bandai Making Journal* as part of the Universal Century mobile suit design project 'F.M.S.'. It was conceived as a mobile suit deployed by the Earth Federation Forces in subtropical Asia. Based on the GM series, it features a dark green paint scheme for concealment in jungles and is equipped with experimental stealth equipment such as infrared jammers, infrared projectors, and a simplified Minovsky particle dispersing device, making it effective in jungle guerrilla warfare.

The "HG 1/144 GM Spartan" utilizes many newly designed parts, featuring precise color separation and modern articulation design. Its flexible range of motion is achieved through thigh rollers and swing mechanisms, and pull-out shoulder joints. The transparent visor of the head camera reveals intricate mechanical structures, faithfully reproducing the details of the added armor, color variations, foot armor, and propulsion nozzles.

The dedicated armed mini-gun features precisely segmented parts, allowing for the reproduction of the rotating mechanism of the gun body, the movable parts of the foregrip, side sights, magazine holders, and other components. In addition, the entire machine has a wide range of armaments mounted in various places. For example, the supports above the shoulders and on the forearms can mount WAMM or beam sabers, the side skirts can be equipped with grenades, the left and right sides of the rear skirts have spare magazines, and a thermal short knife can be drawn from the scabbard on the side of the backpack. It also reproduces the deployed state of the "Simplified Minovsky Particle Dispersion Device" in the center of the backpack.
